11-daagse huttentocht die de Tour de Monte Rosa en de Tour de Matterhorn combineert.
Mijn ouders zagen het niet zitten dat ik in het kader van mijn thesis alleen naar Polen trok, en raadden me aan de last minutes van enkele wandelorganisaties te bekijken. Deze tocht sprong meteen in het oog. Volgens Te Voet een zware trekking die enkel geschikt is voor ervaren bergwandelaars.

Wie Gruyère zegt, denkt meteen aan kaas. De gelijknamige streek in de Zwitserse Vooralpen is voor velen echter onbekend terrein. Terwijl de gruyèrekoeien rustig in hun winterstallen zitten te herkauwen en de auberges op de hooggelegen weiden verlaten zijn, trekken wij er met de tent op uit. Meestal komen we geen levende ziel tegen en zien we hooguit de sporen van onze voorgangers.
